Born and raised in Milwaukee, Pierce Stastney earned his B.S. in mathematics, physics, and English literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2023. He joins St. Paul’s School with two years’ experience teaching high school math and physics, most recently at Madison Country Day School.
Outside the classroom, Mr. Stastney enjoys coaching a wide variety of sports. In particular, he has relished his time coaching ice hockey, tennis, and soccer across his home state of Wisconsin. Off campus, he enjoys reading, writing, playing chess, and getting outside. He is the writer of three unpublished books: a novel, a short-story collection, and a work of literary criticism on his favorite writer, James Joyce. Mr. Stastney is currently working on a second novel inspired by his time in college solving a famous literary mystery.
