Ultimate frisbee and surfing
Sawyer Gouldman joined the St. Paul’s School faculty in 2024 as a Science Teaching Fellow, teaching SPS science classes while earning his master’s degree in education as part of the University of Pennsylvania Boarding School Teaching Residency Program. He earned his M.Ed from Penn in May 2026 and transitioned to a full-time faculty member that fall.
Mr. Gouldman graduated from Bowdoin College in 2023 with a B.A. in physics and earth & oceanographic science. At Bowdoin, he worked as a learning assistant in the Earth & Oceanographic Science Department and played on the ultimate Frisbee team, serving as a captain during his junior and senior years. He also worked as a surfing instructor with the Bowdoin Outing Club.
