Residential Life : Health and Wellness
The health center is staffed by a full-time medical director, Dr. John Bassi, who is board certified in Family Practice. He is available for scheduled appointments and 24 hours a day for emergency care. There is also full-time nursing coverage.

Clark House has 14 patient beds, eight of which are dedicated to inpatient care and six are for outpatient rest and observation. We utilize Concord Hospital, a nearby full service medical facility, for ancillary services such as laboratory, radiology, physical therapy, and for specialty referrals. In addition to the routine and minor surgical services offered at Clark House, we are contracted with a multi-specialty orthopaedic group in Concord. Our two full-time athletic trainers work closely with Dr. Bassi and the local orthopedists. We also have on-site nutritional counseling and evaluation services.

The School’s mission also includes helping our students to balance their lives. We recognize that adolescence can be a period of emotional stress and adjustment. Our center’s two full-time therapists are available to talk with students about any concern or they may refer a student to an outside therapist for ongoing counseling. We are contracted with a board-certified psychiatrist who has regular hours at Clark House. Pastoral counseling also is available with a clergy member who provides services in the areas of adjustment, loss and bereavement, as well as spiritual concerns.
