Tim Pratt earned his BA in political science from Middlebury College, and his MA in English from the Bread Loaf School of English. He joined the faculty of St. Paul's School in the fall of 1999, after teaching for one year at Hebron Academy and nine years at Tabor Academy in Marion, MA. Over his 20-plus years of educational experience, Mr. Pratt has taught history, English, and humanities, and coached ice hockey, golf, soccer, baseball, and tennis. He brings a deep appreciation for the lives of students in boarding schools, having grown up at and attended Phillips Exeter Academy, where his father was an English teacher and hockey coach. He is currently the director of College Advising and coach of boys varsity squash.
Mr. Pratt takes great pleasure in helping to guide students and parents through the college admissions process, and to helping them to uncover and explore the many wonderful opportunities available to them. In his words, “the best part of working at SPS is being around so many bright, motivated, and talented students. Everyone here is intelligent, but they bring so many other remarkable talents to our community as well. Our students never cease to amaze me!”
An avid golfer and squash player, Mr. Pratt enjoys participating in “just about any sport.” He and his wife, Kerri, reside on campus with their three boys and dog, Scooby.
