The academic program at St. Paul's School is enriched through the frequent appearances of guest speakers. Ranging from prize-winning poets to political activists to religious leaders to musical, dramatic, and fine arts talents, distinguished visitors enhance the already diverse curriculum offered by the School, giving students a glimpse at the excellence achieved in various fields of interest.

Throughout the academic year, students have an opportunity to listen to lectures by, watch performances of, sit in on classes with, and engage in conversations with these visitors. Some of the more recent visitors have included Secretary of State John F. Kerry '62, FBI Director Robert Mueller '62, U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins, and folk singer Patty Larkin.
Schlesinger Writers
Established in memory of John-Christophe Schlesinger, St. Paul's School Form of 1992, the Writer in Residence program offers SPS students a remarkable opportunity to speak and work with professional writers. During their stays at St. Paul's School, Schlesinger Writers meet with classes, conduct writing workshops, offer public readings and lectures, and meet informally with students and faculty. Recent Schlesinger Writers have included Tobias Wolff, Rick Moody '79, and Jules Feiffer.

Conroy Visitors
The Conroy Distinguished Visitors program was established to stimulate and inspire students in the School, to enlarge their view of life, and to suggest directions in which they can serve their country and their communities effectively. Through this program, outstanding leaders in various fields are invited to the School for discussions, meetings, School-wide performances, and lectures. Conroy Visitors have included poet Robert Frost, poet/author Maya Angelou, cellist Yo Yo Ma, the Chicago Symphony Singers, U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins, Boston Philharmonic Orchestra conductor Ben Zander, and FBI Director Robert Mueller '62.

Dickey Visitors
Established in honor of former SPS Trustee Charles Dickey of the Form of 1911, the Dickey Visitors series brings speakers from multiple disciplines to share their expertise or passion with the St. Paul’s School community.

Keiser Concert Series
The Keiser concert series brings musicians to the School for performances meant to enrich the culture of the internal SPS community and beyond. These performances are free and open to the public.
