The St. Paul’s School XIX Society invites all alumnae to join a conversation with decision strategist, former poker champion, business consultant, and best-selling author Annie Duke ’83, moderated by Liz Robbins ’79, P’17
Annie Duke, best-selling author of Thinking in Bets: Making Smarter Decisions When You Don’t Have All the Facts and How to Decide: Simple Tools for Making Better Choices, examines how uncertainty can paralyze decision making at every level – and what to do to move forward.
For many women, the pandemic means living with unprecedented uncertainty as home life and careers hang in limbo or take surprising turns. Is now the time to make a decision? Is it worth the effort to try when things seem so up in the air? Annie offers strategies that make it easier to take your next step, such as understanding the trade-off between time and accuracy in decision making, identifying where it makes sense to quit (undo, reverse, or change a decision), and frameworks that make it easier to identify options you can exercise in parallel or modify as needed.
There will be an opportunity for Q&A during our discussion. Please submit questions on the registration page.
