Malcolm '21 is the Gatorade New Hampshire Football Player of the Year

Fifth Former Malcolm Bussey, an All-Evergreen League and two-time All-New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) running back for Big Red football, has another accolade to add to his growing resume. The student-athlete from Nova Scotia is the 2019-20 Gatorade New Hampshire Football Player of the Year. Bussey is the first SPS player to receive this distinction.

The award recognizes academic and athletic excellence. This season Bussey averaged 1,436 yards, and 22 touchdowns on 123 carries. In addition to being part of back-to-back undefeated and championship seasons on the gridiron, Bussey is a member of the varsity hockey team. He is also active in mentoring young athletes in the Learn to Skate program, and he participates in the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes march to raise awareness for violence against women.

Bussey is one of 51 contenders from across the country and the District of Columbia under consideration for Gatorade National Football Player of the Year.
