Fourth Formers bond while building bikes for local children
Bicycle frames, wrenches, and Rubik's Cubes awaited new and returning members of the Form of 2021 as they congregated in the Matthews Hockey Center on Sunday, September 9. In one of their first activities together since arriving at the School, the teens broke into 18 groups for a team exercise. Their challenge was to assemble 18 bicycles to benefit youth from the Friends of Forgotten Children, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting at-risk families in the Concord area. However, there was a catch. To recieve the tools and parts necessary to complete construction, team members neeeded to work collaboratively to solve puzzles while learning each other's names. The finished products will be delievered to the Friends of Forgotten Children on September 20.
