Statement from St. Paul's School

Concerning Rev. Howard White

“St. Paul's School is concerned for the welfare of all of its students, past and present. Student safety continues to be our highest priority. The School has actively encouraged its alumni to come forward with any concerns concerning Rev. Howard White, who was a faculty member at St. Paul's School from 1967 to 1971. An alumnus just recently disclosed to the School an allegation of past sexual abuse by Rev. White, and the School promptly notified the Concord, N.H., police department about the allegation. The School also communicated with its alumni and current student families in a letter from Rector Michael G. Hirschfeld. Because the matter has been referred to law enforcement authorities, it is prudent for us to refer any specific inquiries to them.”
