Daily life is full and busy for St. Paul’s students, between classes and extracurricular activities. But there is still plenty of time for fun. Weekend activities are sponsored by a club, group, or house on campus and include dances, variety shows, or movies in Memorial Hall or Hargate. Many students can be found at the Rectory for Saturday-night Open Houses, featuring the popular lemon poppy seed cake. Some students may choose to spend a quiet night hanging out with friends in the dorm while others might take one of the red SPS shuttle busses into town to eat dinner, go shopping, or see a movie at the local theater. Hanging out at the Freeman Center and the Tuck Shop (a grill that offers burgers and fries) to listen to music or play pool is often the first stop on a Saturday evening. There are also night games and cookouts, where students can support the SPS athletic teams; bands and drama performances, or special events like the bonfire, where School spirit is on display.
