The key to a successful XC season is faithfully adhering to the summer running program. Coaches Daniels, Bohan, and Liu are delighted to see that so many of the girls did just that and are in good running shape and ready to compete. Having lost several impactful runners to graduation, we are excited at the growth and maturity many of our returning runners are demonstrating and are confident they will perform well this season. We are also excited about the new talent and are eager to put these new runners to the test at upcoming races. Captains Ashley Davidson ‘20, Kendra Kaericher ‘20, and Annie Xiong ‘20 have been fantastic captains supporting both the seasoned runners as well as those new to the sport. Inspired by the team’s summer read, Strong: A Runner’s Guide to Boosting Confidence and Becoming the Best Version of You by Kara Goucher, the girls are keeping their own running and confidence journals. It looks like a great year ahead for SPS GXC!
