Keiser Concert: Chanticleer
GRAMMY® Award-winning vocal ensemble Chanticleer, under the direction of Music Director Tim Keeler, presents a program showcasing its signature blend of virtuosity and versatility. Hailed by The Boston Globe as “breathtaking in its accuracy of intonation, purity of blend, of color and swagger of style,” Chanticleer is internationally recognized as an “orchestra of voices.”
Founded in San Francisco in 1978 by singer and musicologist Louis Botto, the ensemble has become one of the world’s most prolific recording and touring groups, performing thousands of concerts and selling over one million recordings.
The evening’s program features works by Machaut, Byrd, Virgil Thomson, and Randall Thompson, alongside folk songs, spirituals, popular music, and newly commissioned arrangements written especially for the ensemble.
The concert will take place in the Chapel of St. Peter and St. Paul on the grounds of St. Paul’s School and is free and open to the public.
