Passing of Right Rev. Dr. Craig Anderson

On Thursday, Jan. 22, the School learned that the Right Rev. Dr. Craig Anderson, 11th Rector of St. Paul’s School and former Episcopal bishop of South Dakota, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 17, at the age of 83. At this time, a formal obituary and details about services are not available; more information should be available on the funeral home website in the coming days. In the interim, the School of Theology at the University of the South posted a moving tribute from the Episcopal Diocese of South Dakota, which you can read here.

Our thoughts are with Bishop Anderson’s wife, Lizbeth, his daughter, Megan Anderson ’94, and their family and friends.

A Delicate Balance

Stewarding Special Places for the Future

Support the next generation of SPS alumni

For more than a century, alumni and parents have played a vital role in making the SPS student experience possible. Each year, endowment income and gifts to The SPS Fund cover 50% of the School’s expenses. Your support is an essential element of our mission to educate students to build purposeful lives in service to the greater good. And what greater gift is there than to make a difference in the lives of those who follow in your footsteps?
