SPS Alumni Fall Hike — Cold Spring, New York
If the changing seasons make you nostalgic for those crisp mornings in Millville when you walked (or ran) to chapel, then get your hiking gear ready for a colorful outing in Cold Spring, New York!
Join Peter Harrison ’07 and fellow Paulies for a scenic and invigorating 4.3-mile hike on the Bull Hill Trail. Families and dogs are welcome!

- Trail: Bull Hill Short Loop Trail

After the hike, all are welcome to enjoy lunch in the village of Cold Spring, where there are plenty of great dining options.
Getting There
The easiest way to reach Cold Spring is by taking the Metro-North Hudson Line from Grand Central Station or Harlem-125th Street. The trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Download the MTA TrainTime app to view schedules and purchase tickets.
From the Cold Spring station, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Bull Hill Trailhead (enter “Washburn Trail on Bull Hill Parking Lot” into Google Maps). A local shuttle is also available to drop you off at the start of the trail — click here for details.
If you prefer to drive or carpool, please note that parking can be limited during peak foliage season. Overflow parking may be available at the Cold Spring Train Station.
What to Bring
