Is financial aid available for international students?
Financial aid for international students is limited. While we do enroll international students that apply for aid, the majority of our support is directed towards domestic applicants.

Is full financial aid available for international students?
If admitted, St. Paul’s will meet demonstrated financial need for on campus expenses. 

How does an international student apply for financial aid?
International students complete the Clarity financial aid application. 

What documents are needed to apply for aid as an international student?
Given the various differences in countries, we require some sort of documentation that supports the information submitted in the Clarity application. This can be your domestic tax returns, wage statements, letters from an employer, bank statements, or any other document that demonstrates your financial position.

Does international financial aid cover all the educational year and traveling expenses?
Generally speaking, international families are asked to contribute something towards the cost of education.

Who is considered an international student?
For financial aid purposes, we consider students who will need an I-20 to study at St. Paul’s to be an international student.

What is the deadline for international applicants?
The deadline for admission and financial aid applications is January 15.

Are international students eligible for full tuition support if their family income is lower than $150,000?
Our $150,000 family income threshold for full tuition support is limited to U.S. residentially based domestic families.

Can I get an application fee waiver for St. Paul’s application fee?
Yes, you can request a fee waiver by emailing admissions@sps.edu.

Can I get a fee waiver for the Clarity financial aid application?
Fee waivers for Clarity are issued directly from Clarity in the application process. We do not issue fee waivers ourselves.

Can I get a fee waiver for the SSAT?
SSAT fee waivers are reserved for our domestic applications on the basis of financial need. For domestic students to be considered for an SSAT fee waiver, you must first complete a Clarity aid application. As an international student, if you are unable to take an SSAT or ISEE, we can waive the test requirement. If you have any sort of national testing or previous standardized testing, please share directly with our office as part of your application.

Do you need financial information from both parents in the case of divorce or separation?
If there is a noncustodial parent and there is no relationship between the parent and the applicant, we can waive the requirement for their financial information with a letter from a non-related third party confirming the situation. The third party can be someone like a school counselor, clergy member, or other person in a professional capacity.
