Mrs. Walter comes to St. Paul’s School from Connecticut, although she was born and raised on the beautiful Nature Isle of Dominica in the Caribbean, which is not to be confused with the Dominican Republic. She pursued a master’s degree in Spanish at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where she served as a teaching assistant for two years, and received a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish Language and Culture from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, Spain. Mrs. Walter earned her bachelor’s degree from Universidad de Oriente in Cuba. She has taught Spanish at every grade level, from Pre-K students through college undergraduates, and has taught both honors and AP courses.

Mrs. Walter really enjoys teaching and interacting with her students and their families. She also enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, walking and watching TV shows recommended by her students when time permits.

Mrs. Walter lives campus with her husband, Wendell, and their two children, Gabie and Evan.
